1976 BMW R90S in Daytona Orange

This R90S belongs to a friend of ours. He moved here with it in the year 2000 and it had been crated ever since. The R90S finally saw the light of day, but needed repairs to get her back on the road again. It was not a restoration, but the necessary engine repair and detailing returned the bike to its former glory. BMW produced the R90S between 1973 and 1976 and it is fitted with a type 247 engine, affectionately known as an “airhead”. It has the famous two cylinder horizontally opposed air cooled engine with 67 HP and a top speed of about 120 mph.
