1971 MZ ES 150/1 Trophy Country of Origin: East Germany Click on any photo below to enlarge!
This is the second of the two MZ Trophys we owned. This one is a 1971 and is only 150cc with about 11-12 HP. MZ stands for Motorradwerk Zschopau. Zschopau is the town where the factory was located. The ES model series was built from 1962 up to 1978. About 340,000 of the 150 models were built in East Germany. Only the "Trophy" variation had the Art Deco tank / headlight combination, a.k.a. the TV lamp.
