In early 2021 we came across the perfect original Stoye sidecar to accompany the motorcycle. The Stoye sidecar was restored by Mike Dunn. We mounted the sidecar, with special mounting brackets, to the motorcycle and tested the setup. We also purchased – in Germany – several period original badges from Germany to decorate the saddlebags. The motorcycle and rig won Quail in 2022, as well as the La Jolla Concours, and was put up for auction at Mecums in Las Vegas January of 2023. It commanded top dollar, landing on Mecums “Top Ten” for motorcycle sales in 2023. The owner was ecstatic. As for us, we were sorry to see it go.
